The Role
Based either at our Head Office in Basingstoke, Hampshire, remotely or hybrid, you will lead and manage the development and delivery of income growth from corporate partnerships.
In this fast-paced and exciting role, you’ll be proactively identifying and securing new partnerships, whilst nurturing and maintaining existing relationships. Working with the wider engagement and fundraising team, you will ensure donors receive the best experience and an integrated and joined up fundraising plan is delivered.
This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure and Barring Services Check.
About You
We’re looking for an enthusiastic manager with knowledge and experience of corporate account management and new business development. You will be experienced working in a fundraising environment and managing key fundraising projects.
You will need to be confident communicator, calm under pressure and keen to evidence the success of your work through data analysis, you will be able to adapt your approach to suit different audiences.

Institutional Partnerships Manager, Thomson Reuters Foundation
Thomson Reuters Foundation is seeking an experienced and motivated Institutional Partnerships Manager who has significant experience securing high value partnerships with foundations, international development organisations, trusts, and multi-lateral donors.
We are looking for a proactive, creative team player who has excellent knowledge and passion for working in the international development sector. About the role
As our Institutional Partnerships Manager, you will:

Proactively seek and secure high value funding from trusts and institutional donors worth over £1m per annum.

Coordinate due diligence processes, facilitate donor audits and external evaluations in collaboration with internal teams.

Drive the external profile of the Foundation by representing TRF in networks, forums, and project consortia.

Support the development of annual income and expenditure budgets/forecasts for institutional fundraising, prepare reports and give presentations on funding progress.

About You
To be our Institutional Partnerships Manager, you will likely have:

Over 6 years’ experience of securing and managing grants valued at over £500,000 from institutional donors.

At least 6 years’ experience of working with institutional donors such as the FCDO, EC, USAID, US State Department, Multi-laterals, and trusts and foundations, in a fundraising and/or programme capacity.

Experience of delivering ambitious income targets and comfortable working in a performance

management culture.

Excellent research skills and market knowledge of leading funding organisations.

Fluent in English (verbal and written) and excellent writing skills.

Over 6 years’ experience working in an international development organisation.

We are seeking an experienced and successful corporate fundraising professional to join our Development Team as Corporate Partnerships Manager, Strategic Accounts (maternity cover). You will be responsible for building relationships with and working with some of the leading companies in the UK.

The Role

JOB PURPOSE
UK for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner, is looking for an ambitious and proactive Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the Private Partnerships & Philanthropy team.
In this exciting role, you will lead on the management of a number of our existing and new relationships with companies to create and grow mutually beneficial, multi-year partnerships, playing a key part in the success of our annual fundraising programme. You will enjoy developing strong relationships and have excellent communication and problem- solving skills. This role is predominately an account management post, with some new business development.
ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES
- Lead on the management of a number of high value strategic corporate partnerships, liaising across departments and virtual teams to monitor, evaluate and report on progress against partnership KPIs, targets, activities and budgets.
- Develop annual and multi-year budgets and plans for partners.
- Identify opportunities for partnership visibility and communications, and where possible employee engagement.

Salford Foodbank provides emergency food parcels to local people who are referred to us in crisis. Food is donated, sorted and packed at our warehouse, then delivered to our 7 centres across Salford, where teams of volunteers greet people as they pick up their food parcels. People can also access support and advice at our centres to help them maximise their income and ensure they are less likely to need to use the foodbank again.
You’ll be joining a friendly team of 6 part-time staff, 6 Trustees and approx. 80 volunteers, all dedicated to supporting people facing hardship. We are part of The Trussell Trust, a nationwide network of foodbanks.
Rate of pay: £21,000 per annum for 22.5 hours per week (£35,000 FTE pro-rata)
Full-time / part-time: Part time role 22.5 hours per week (flexible, home based within the North West with some contact hours at Salford Foodbank warehouse/office)
Temporary / permanent: Fixed term contract role for 18 months, with opportunity to extend based on funding
- This is an exciting opportunity to join Salford Foodbank in a new role, accountable to the Foodbank Manager and the board of trustees. As the need for Foodbank services continues to grow Salford Foodbank has developed and expanded. The staff and volunteer team have increased, and we have embarked on new projects to support those that use the Foodbank.
- In order to maintain our current services and further develop, we need to grow our annual fundraised income.
- Through this new organisational role, you’ll proactively create and grow fundraising income, reach, and support from grant giving trusts and foundations as well as corporate organisations across Salford and Greater Manchester.
- Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of growing income and building relationships with trusts and foundations as well as corporate partners to achieve and exceed annual income targets and KPI’s. You’ll have the capacity to create and craft compelling funding proposals that successfully engage and attract donations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Through excellent, comprehensive and considered research, you’ll identify and prioritise a pool of potential grant giving trusts and foundations funders for Salford Foodbank. You’ll forge relationships with those funders, develop and submit timely and winning funding applications.
- You’ll manage the ongoing relationships with grant giving trusts and foundations funders, ensuring they receive excellent stewardship, timely reporting and doing all you can maximising potential for further funding
- You’ll proactively identify, engage and build good relationships with prospective corporate donors, successfully securing them as funding partners. Alongside this you’ll deepen engagement and grow our relationships and partnerships with existing corporate donors.
- Working with colleagues across Salford Foodbank, you’ll develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning funding and partnership proposals that can successfully engage grant giving trusts, foundations and corporate partners and that can successfully align our vision and work with their needs, motivations, areas of interests and values.
- You’ll research potential funding opportunities from the local council and local authorities.
- You will develop, monitor and manage a fundraising portfolio. You’ll establish a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s that can be tracked and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.
- You’ll work collaboratively with other Trussell Trust food banks across the Greater Manchester area, identifying and progressing opportunities for joint funding proposals and partnerships.
- You’ll forge strong relationships with colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. You’ll proactively take advantage of any fundraising training and skills development opportunities and engage with any joint fundraising opportunities.

You will:
- Account manage and build strong relationships with a portfolio of Corporate Partners with current value of four and five figures
- Manage a range of consultancy relationships from initial enquiry to project completion, working with colleagues across the charity
- Take a proactive role in growing the pipeline of new opportunities for the Corporate Partnerships team
- Manage incoming corporate enquiries, using your knowledge and experience to identify key opportunities
- Work with colleagues across fundraising to identify and develop new opportunities to engage corporate partners through products and events
This role is great development opportunity for someone looking for the next step in their corporate fundraising career, or for a candidate with transferable skills looking to move into the sector. You are likely to be an experienced fundraiser but could also be bringing skills from a marketing and communications or a B2B relationship management or similar background.
You are experienced in writing persuasively for a range of audiences. You are also a confident communicator, with the ability to lead meetings with senior stakeholders or present to a room full of people.
You are comfortable collaborating across teams, with experience of bringing people together to solve a problem or achieve a goal. You’ll be comfortable working to your own initiative and taking the lead on projects and relationships.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Partnerships Manager to join our team. Working alongside the Director of Business Development and Partnerships, you will support and contribute to the charity’s business development strategy with responsibility for managing activity including raising funds for Inspire from a range of sources including corporate partnerships, community fundraising, trusts and foundations.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
1. Writing and submitting applications for new funding to statutory bodies, trusts, foundations and corporates.
2. Researching funding opportunities, competitors and market trends.
3. Developing and maintaining an annual calendar of community fundraising activities.
4. Identifying new business development opportunities and developing a pipeline of opportunities and proposals.
5. Management and growth of Inspire's entry to mid-level corporate partnerships.
6. Working with delivery team colleagues to ensure funders’ reports are completed on time and to a high standard.

About Us
The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. Additionally, our UR4Jobs project focusses on both client wellbeing and breaking down the many barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged people every day.
The role
Is an exciting new edition to the TUR team, created to capitalise on the fact that the number of businesses in our catchment area is 45000+, but we’re not trying to talk to all of them, just target a few – ideally by gaining referrals and recommendations. So the job is to proactively find those local businesses happy to talk to us, understand what they might be looking for by partnering with a charity, share our brilliant story along with the business case (which is strong) for them to get involved with us in some way. We have made an excellent start, we already have a small number of great corporate partners, and this job is about taking it all on to the next level. As you would expect the role is about creating contacts, networking, maximising the face-to-face time with prospective partners and where possible gaining referrals. And, ultimately this is all because, the bigger our portfolio of corporate partners all feeling great about their involvement with us, the more able we are to raise the funds we need to keep up with an ever-increasing demand for our services.
About You
You live within - or know well, West/Central London, you probably need a job with some working flexibility and want to have genuine belief in the product or service you’re talking about. You have a CV that demonstrates solid experience in a comparable role in a ‘business-to-business’ environment, a role - the success of which, is dependent on the levels of energy and proactivity you provide. This could be in another charity, CIC or other Non-Profit organisation. However, if you have a solid B2B background and want to explore a change of direction you are also very welcome to apply. You are comfortable and confident with working autonomously, you can articulate and ‘bring to life’ your story through your presentation skills. You also need great listening skills so you can build a picture of what each new corporate partner is looking to achieve by signing up to our cause. You have used Microsoft suite products before – including PowerPoint. A driving licence and use of a car is desirable as the role requires regular client visits, some of whom may not be accessible by public transport.
