Alongside having just secured brilliant new partnerships with Cadbury, Warburtons and John West.
We’re looking for a New Business Officer to join our team, to secure new partnerships that will grow income and take us one step closer to a cure.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Identify and build strategic relationships to generate income from new corporate supporters.
· A focused and strategic approach to identifying, researching, and targeting prospective corporate partners.
· Work closely with Corporate Partnerships Manager (CPM) to deliver our successful new business strategy.
· Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities to include strategic partnerships and charity of the year partnerships.
· Develop engagement plans for prospects, with innovative, commercially minded ideas, to maximise the chances of securing successful partnerships.
· Create innovative and creative applications/proposals for charity of the year and strategic partnerships.
· Actively network with potential corporate partners through warm contacts, events, conferences, and other available media.
· Ensure effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of new business approaches in liaison with CPM, communicating progress regularly.
· Take full personal responsibility for the timely recording of prospects, actions, updates, and notes within the CRM (Salesforce).
· Work alongside the Partnership Development Officers on new partnership set-up, including establishing legal agreements with corporate partners.
· Work closely with the Philanthropy team to leverage support from major donors and assist the Philanthropy team with their prospects where possible.
· Achieve agreed financial and non-financial targets, including income generation and meetings.
· Support the CPM in the development and implementation of the corporate fundraising strategy for ARUK, to increase the team’s income, to ensure that the best use is made of internal and external contacts
Represent the charity professionally in a high-level corporate context.
· Organise and attend networking and cultivation events as required, influencing, and engaging high-level external contacts.
· Deliver high-quality and creative presentations and proposals to help target and engage prospects and convert them into partners.
· Organise tailored face-to-face meeting opportunities to initiate and build relationships.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current ARUK activities, including research being funded, and be an advocate of ARUK at all times.
What we are looking for:
· Corporate fundraising experience, or business development experience in a corporate role.
· Evidence of delivering high-quality and creative presentations and proposals to help target and engage potential partners/clients.
· Experience in creatively building new strategic partnerships/clients from scratch within a fundraising and/or corporate environment.
· Experience in engaging and building relationships with key external stakeholders and decision-makers to deliver positive outcomes.
· Experience in securing new partners/clients within a fundraising and/or corporate environment.
· Confidence working with computers – good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
· Excellent personal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels face to face and on the phone.
· Ability to write professionally, with an ability to adapt communications for different audiences.
· Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
· Ability to articulate complex issues to supporters in a compelling manner.
· Strong negotiation skills and the ability to make financial asks.
· Strong business development and relationship management skills, ideally from a charity background.

· Willingness to work outside of regular office hours during busy spells, as well as occasional travel within the UK when required.
Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

What you’ll be doing
The Skills Development Manager is responsible for a team who are developing a robust, diverse, inclusive and inspiring curriculum across the organisation. Stop Domestic Abuse support all those affected by domestic abuse by providing innovative and unique services. Refuge workers will provide safety planning, support, advice, and assistance to children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse and are staying in the refuge. Additionally, you will establish and maintain links with statutory and voluntary agencies; to promote and support the welfare of families who have experienced domestic abuse. Form and maintain relationships with local specialist domestic abuse services, and finally, ensure that child welfare is ensured in accordance with Stop Domestic Abuse’s Protection from Abuse Policy.
This role includes the opportunity to be on call out of office hours as this is a 24-hour, 7 day a week service running outside of usual service hours. You will be working as part of the Older Looked-after Young People (OLYP) team in Horsham looking after young people aged 16 -17 in a warm and homely environment. Young people come to us from a variety of backgrounds and have various and often complex needs. The team is made up of passionate and caring individuals, who work together to provide holistic support to the young people in our care, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our specialist supported accommodation is a safe and secure environment where young people are supported to acquire the necessary skills in preparation for living independently and can safely explore their increased freedom and develop the responsibilities associated with adulthood.
As a Supported Housing Support Worker you will hold a caseload of residents, working with them on a one-to-one basis with also facilitating group work sessions. You will identify their needs by listening to them, with employing psychologically informed approaches to enable residents to make better choices and take responsibility for their actions. You will work closely with other services such as, Social Services, Police, Probation, education providers and local organisations. Our projects already have excellent working relationships with these services, and your role will build on these. You will be helping them to improve their practical living skills such as cleaning, budgeting, managing behaviour, seeking, and securing employment and making wise decisions. You will help to contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.
Based on site, this role is on a seven-day rolling rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Job Title: Personal Assistant to the Dean

Role Purpose
Southwark Cathedral has been a place of Christian worship for over 1400 years. Now it stands on the vibrant and exciting regenerated south bank of the Thames surrounded by cultural venues such as Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe and Borough Market, the offices of major companies as well as schools and diverse residential communities. It is an inclusive Christian community that offers a welcome to all.
This is a key role at Southwark Cathedral supporting the Dean. This secretarial role will primarily feature management of a busy personal diary, correspondence and broader administrative support for the Dean in his capacity as Dean of Southwark, Chair of Chapter and CEO of the Cathedral.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination, preparation, planning and follow up for the Dean’s briefing for and attendance at meetings associated with the governance of the Cathedral including Chapter, Finance Committee, Audit & Risk Committee, Nominations Committee, Fabric Advisory Committee and Board of Enterprises. This will include research and assisting in the drafting and review of papers for such meetings, but minute taking will not usually be required (but may be requested from time to time in liaison with members of staff usually responsible for the minutes);
- Support the Dean in all their working relationships including building and maintaining excellent relationships with Chapter Members and Committee Members, the Bishop’s staff and with the wider Diocese, as well as with neighbours, commercial partners, professional advisers and other third-party organisations relating to the Dean’s work;
- Prepare the Dean’s weekly diary file, including the preparation of any meeting papers or briefs for the week ahead;
- Manage the Dean’s diary: including making appointments, arranging meetings, scheduling preaching and other liturgical arrangements, programming annual schedules (such as Bishops Staff Meetings, chaplaincy and wider public commitments) - keeping Outlook diaries up to date with any changes and making travel arrangements;
- Support other members of the clergy team with administration tasks as requested;
- Set up key meetings including room set up and refreshment provision as required;
- Assist the Dean with the processing of their expenses;
- Work with the Governance & Committees Manager on Gifts Registry declarations for the Dean;
- Provide administrative support to bodies the Dean chairs, e.g. Southwark Cathedral Development Trust, the Deans Fund and other Cathedral-associated bodies;
- Draft briefs and reports for the Dean;
- Draft, file and send outgoing correspondence on the Dean’s behalf and process incoming correspondence;
- Interact with the Cathedral database in support of the Dean’s work;
- Provide general administrative assistance in the context of a busy office;
- Respond to / forward on general email enquiries received from the Cathedral website;
- Promote the mission, purpose and values of the Cathedral;
- Ensure that the highest standards of professional performance are maintained, and ensure professional skills are regularly updated through participation in training and development activities.

Terms and Conditions
Working Hours
The working hours shall be 21 hours per week (exclusive of meal breaks), usually over three days. Some out of hours working will be required to support meetings and events and this will be notified in advance. Time off in lieu will be awarded in line with Southwark Cathedral’s policy.
Annual Leave
20.5 days per annum including statutory bank holidays, with an additional 5 days (pro-rata) after 10 years’ service.
Probation
The appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of a six-month probationary period.
Season Ticket Loan
Once the probationary period has been completed satisfactorily, the person appointed will be eligible to take out a season ticket loan.
Pension
The person appointed will be eligible to join a defined contributions pension scheme managed by the Church Workers Pension Fund. The Cathedral will contribute half of the annual premium of 10% of salary.
Working Expenses
Reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.

About the Assistant Safeguarding Officer Role:
As our Assistant Safeguarding Officer, you will be responsible for managing a caseload and giving support and advice to local volunteer managers in responding to concerns or complaints affecting the safety and welfare of young people; for progressing some safeguarding concerns and making the necessary referrals to statutory agencies where required. - Contacting statutory agencies to gain updates and outcomes of their enquiries, to allow Safeguarding Officers to proceed with safeguarding matters and allegations. Share Scouting updates with statutory agencies
- Operating within UK legislation and statutory guidance in relation to young people within Scouts, and adults who hold a Position of Trust
- Providing support and guidance to Scout volunteer managers to enable them to implement a local response to welfare concerns and allegations regarding adults and young people in Scouting, including supporting the suspension process where appropriate

About the role
As the Area Service Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring our contracts with partners and/or commissioners deliver to the highest standards, in a way that creates maximum impact.
Across Yorkshire, you will lead on the delivery of our coaching and behaviour change programmes alongside managing our expanding housing portfolio and housing support services. You will take responsibility for growing the business across Yorkshire with existing partners, other organisations and via Local Authority contracts.
