Job Description

PROGRAMME DELIVERY

• Programme Delivery: Plan and deliver activities, opportunities and events for young people in line with programme objectives, processes and guidance.

• Programme Content: support and contribute to the development/review of programme content, resources and communications such as newsletters.

• Impact and evaluation: Support the collection of monitoring and evaluation data, facilitating evaluation activities within training sessions and events as required; contribute to ongoing processes of programme learning and review as a member of the delivery team.

• EDI: Work with the Programme Manager to ensure that Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion are embedded in the process of programme development and curriculum design, including learning styles and accessibility.

• Youth engagement and insight: Collect and process feedback from schools and young people

• Safeguarding: Uphold safeguarding and child protection policy and procedure throughout, including reporting safeguarding concerns and disclosures to DSL and uploading to MyConcern.

PROGRAMME ADMINISTRATION

• Stakeholder engagement: Manage day to day relationships with programme participants and external organisations/individuals supporting delivery, including managing the main anti-bullying inbox

• Finance: Ensure personal or participants' expenses are submitted on time and in line with expense policies and TDA financial procedures

What you’ll be doing

This is an exciting new role that provides an opportunity to build a new major gifts programme from scratch. Supported by the Senior Development Manager, you will work closely with the CEO, Director of Development and the Board to develop a giving strategy that will directly feed into our organisational strategy, with a focus on increasing engagement and the growth of the major donor income stream.

You will manage a portfolio of existing major donors and conduct prospect research, developing bespoke stewardship of donors giving gifts from £5,000 to £50,000.

What we’re looking for

You will be an excellent major donor fundraiser, with experience of designing and delivering high-impact stewardship programmes and events, and a track record of securing major gifts through written and/or verbal proposals. You will be able to work primarily from home if you prefer, but will need to be able to be in London when necessary – approximately once a month on average – as well as being willing to travel to meet donors when necessary.

Affiliate Fundraising Training Consultant (Part-Time)

Summary

The Wikimedia Foundation is the non-profit organization that operates Wikipedia – one of the most popular websites in the world, viewed 15 billion times every month. It is the only non-profit in the top 10 most visited global websites, supported by a community of millions of individual donors around the world.  Alongside the Wikimedia Foundation, our movement is composed of affiliate organizations, independent organizations established to support volunteers in a specific language, region or topic. Affiliates are funded by the Wikimedia Foundation, and some in independent fundraising to support their activities.

The Wikimedia Foundation seeks a Fundraising Training Consultant to work with Wikimedia affiliates to grow and develop their fundraising processes and capacity. In this one-year, 30 hour/week contract role (with potential option for renewal) you will be responsible for working with affiliates to understand their fundraising needs and challenges, and to provide them strategic guidance and support as they put in place necessary structures and processes that will aid their fundraising efforts. This role will focus on building the capacity of affiliates to raise funds from a variety of new-to-the-movement donors, including government, multinational and multilateral funding opportunities, and local high networth individuals, as well as advising on systems and structures (e.g. Board composition) for strategic fundraising.

With affiliates located around the globe, the person in this role will need to be skilled in relationship management and cross-cultural communication. This role involves close collaboration with affiliate fundraisers and leadership.  You will report to the Major Gifts Stewardship Manager (Fundraising) and work closely with the Vice President of Community Growth. This is a one-year contract and remote role that offers flexible scheduling with a commitment of 30 hours per week.

You are responsible for:

• Training: Provide learning opportunities for affiliate staff to build their skills around mid-level and major gift fundraising.
• Coaching and Advising: Advise on developing strategies to maximize fundraising potential and impact, including grant writing, event fundraising, other fundraising methods and donor stewardship.

Skills and Experience

• Experience teaching and/or training nonprofit organizations on fundraising best practices, grant writing, and donor stewardship.
• Experience in a wide variety of fundraising techniques appropriate for non-US markets, including European government fundraising, Trusts and Foundations, Major Gifts, and Corporate Fundraising, preferably in a consulting or advisory capacity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with best practices around donor data security.

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, provide leadership of the charity (which is also a company limited by guarantee) by directing and structuring the work of the wider staff and volunteer team. Manage a broad range of business needs and resources, including income generation, finances, staffing and contract/grant funding compliance, thereby ensuring sustainability through effective governance, sound finances and delivery of high-quality services in accordance with DWC’s vision, mission, values and strategic plans.

Principal Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Overall Management

· Together with the Trustees/Directors, develop and agree the strategic plan, operational plan, vision, mission and values.

· Lead the organisation and ensure it meets its legal and social obligations and the challenges of financial sustainability.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, including the Charity Commission, Companies House, and Health and Safety Executive, as well as with quality standards and with contract/grant monitoring requirements.

· Identify and implement new business opportunities in line with the charitable aims outlined in the Articles of Association.

Governance

· Work with the Board to ensure effective governance is provided through Trustees/Directors with an understanding of DWC’s purpose and a mixture of relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

· As a disabled people’s organisation provide opportunities for disabled people to contribute at all levels within the Board and workforce, through volunteering, training and employment.

Finance

· Manage and monitor the overall budget, income and expenditure.

· Authorise expenditure in accordance with the Financial Management policy and delegated powers.

· Ensure services are delivered within available resources, including sufficient income.

· Take a lead role in maximising income, through researching, initiating and developing the preparation of appropriate funding bids and fundraising activities.

Representation and Stakeholder Management

· Represent DWC and the interests of disabled people within local and national networks and forums.

· Develop and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders, including commissioners and staff within partner organisations.

· Develop staff and volunteer colleagues to act as ambassadors for DWC.

· Ensure arrangements are in place for awareness of the DWC brand and the impact of the organisation’s work.

MLC Partners are looking for an experienced Finance Manager for an initial 3-month interim position. This position commences immediately, and ideally is looking for experience within the Charity sector.

Main responsibilities:

• Ensure the completion of all month end processes and the timely delivery of the monthly management accounts.
• To manage our core finance, purchasing and payroll systems, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of financial data.

About the role

Working across Global Witness’s campaigns within a larger data team, you will support our larger data investigations.  Using a range of tools and techniques, including data storytelling, analysis, bots and webscraping, you will highlight the role of corporations in worsening the environmental and climate crises.

You will bring core data specialist skills, in particular in financial analysis, natural language processing, remote sensing and accessing and using open data.

JOB PURPOSE

To inspire people with mental health conditions to progress, and to gain and sustain paid employment.  Some Employment Specialists will support clients with common (mild to moderate) mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression), whilst others will support clients with more severe and enduring mental illness (e.g. schizophrenia, bipolar, personality disorders).

Depending on what clients are right for you to work with, you will either work across the local NHS primary or secondary care network alongside NHS clinicians to secure client referrals.

To work with clients with more serious mental illness, you will need to be comfortable supporting people who have experienced / are experiencing serious mental health challenges, as well as possibly other serious difficulties in their lives.  Although you will receive full training and support, it’s important you are aware of the potential impact this may have on your own mental wellbeing.

All Employment Specialists will follow the 8 principles of IPS, adhere to the IPS Fidelity Scale and achieve monthly targets and KPIs with the required administration and compliance.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Engage a caseload of clients with mental health problems and establish trusting, collaborative relationships to support them into employment in line with contract targets and IPS fidelity.

2. Assess clients’ employment support needs; implementing and adjusting employment plans as necessary to support each client’s desired outcomes along IPS requirements.

3. Develop and deliver a range of practical services to meet clients’ needs including career guidance, job searching, CV preparation, interview skills, individual coping techniques or work coaching.

4. Build a constant flow of referrals to ensure a dynamic caseload.

5. Conduct weekly employer engagement activity in line with IPS Fidelity.

6. Understand the complex issues a client may face, recognise holistic support needs and work in conjunction with clinical staff.

Individual Placement & Support (IPS) is an internationally recognised and evidence-based supported employment intervention.  IPS is regarded as the most effective and efficient way of helping people with mental health issues into competitive and sustainable employment.

Twining was the first non-NHS provider to be awarded Centre of Excellence status for its IPS service in Barnet.

Main Responsibilities:

 Duty Officer:

 – Opening and closing of the Sovereign Centre, depending on shift, and ensure the safety of the area in adherence with YMCA procedures.

– To ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed, i.e. fire evacuation, safety of facility users, assisting with any accidents that occur and giving first aid if needed.

– To follow YMCA safeguarding policy to ensure that vulnerable adults and young people are properly protected.

– Setting up/down rooms for hire including equipment, checking for damage and ensure it is safe to use.

– Overseeing rooms and facilities, general tidying and ensure all areas are safe including storage and outside spaces.

– Assisting with reception duties including taking payments for activities, answering visitor enquiries and promoting YMCA services.

– Answering the telephone and deal with enquiries or forwarding on to appropriate Team.

– Complete food safety and hygiene checks, maintaining records as required.

– Fire warden duties

– Dealing with any incidents whilst on duty and recording on My Concern.

– Supporting Teams who run services in the centre

– Act as concierge as necessary.

Building Administration:

– Identifying any maintenance needs and logging requests via Pyramid, progressing outstanding works and overseeing any works being undertaken when on site.

– Maintain supplies of the centre’s cleaning and household products by running efficient stock control and cost-effective purchasing of supplies.

– Re-stocking and purchasing of first aid supplies, keeping all kits full and in date.

– Supporting Hirers with enquiries, invoices, hold agreements and dealing with bookings.

– Maintain the Sovereign Centre calendar for all bookings.

– Complete building inductions, maintain key presses and up to to date key holder list.

– Ensuring DO pack, PEEP forms and building risk assessments are reviewed and kept up to date.

– Create, fill and distribution of monthly DO rota for the centre.

– Keeping Sovereign building paperwork and on-line folders safe, secure and up to date.

– To support and promote all services which run from centre as required.

– Attend and participate in relevant internal/external meetings and forums related to the CYP services activities.

– Supporting the wider work of the Association including charity events.

– Any other duties required within the grade and renumeration of the role.

– We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults. This role will require an enhanced DBS disclosure (with barred children/vulnerable adults).  We require you to understand and demonstrate this commitment and attend any required training.

Job Purpose:We are looking for a competent and reliable person to undertake a range of duties to ensure the safe and smooth running of the YMCA Sovereign Centre. You will be the Duty Officer; responsible building security and building related admin tasks. You will also cover reception and deal with general enquiries. A commitment to friendly, customer-focus service is essential.

Hours of work:Av 26 hours per week. Monday to Friday 4:30pm - 9:00pm and 2 Saturday per month (Except August) 8:00am - 5:00pm (with 1 hour break)

About this key role
Working as part of a multi-agency team, we will count on you to lead by example, be the day-to-day expert within the team, and be a positive role model to the team of caseworkers.  Using a strength-based approach, you will provide support, advice and advocacy for young people and their families regarding accommodation, working through person-centred support plans designed to promote choice and control for young people.  You will ensure, on a day-to-day basis, that all monitoring information and evidence is being recorded and collated correctly, and that you promote inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process and include appropriate agencies in the delivery of the service. 

The delivery of a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, is also a crucial element of this role, where you will provide practical guidance on issues such as social and housing support, ETE options, benefits work, debt advice and cleaning.  Promoting the value of lifestyle changes to the young people being supported and operating within clear professional boundaries are also key duties.
