Job Purpose:

• Contribute to hyh’s overall Fundraising strategy as a member of the Fundraising Team
• Have day to day responsibility for the Individual Giving income stream
• Manage a portfolio of existing Individual Giving supporters, providing exceptional supporter care and building relationships, stewarding and nurturing existing donors.
• Improve supporter retention and maximise donors’ lifetime value to hyh
• Manage, develop and lead on the use of hyh’s CRM effectively to segment data and make insight-led decisions. This includes developing new reports, liaising with the external CRM consultant to make improvements, writing up procedures and training members of the team in best practice.
• Acquire and develop new donors through solicitation and stewardship plans using a supporter journey programme to build engagement and loyalty.
• Develop marketing and comms materials through digital and other channels to deliver the programme.
• Maximise all opportunities to develop regular giving, appeals, one-off occasion donations, in-mem and legacy

Job purpose

This is a pivotal senior administration role in a charity that is passionate about making a difference to the veterinary care that animals receive. You’ll be working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, with the trustee board and with all members of the staff team of about 20 people. The role is responsible for co-ordinating essential governance activities, including preparing, collating and distributing meeting information packs, writing minutes and managing actions following trustee and committee meetings. You’ll also provide diary management support to the Chief Executive and carry out a varied range of administrative tasks – from arranging team meetings to organising the charity’s award and grant-giving programmes.

Responsibilities

Governance and executive support

• Provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, including proof reading and formatting documents, diary management, coordinating meetings and production of agendas and minutes
• Take minutes for trustee board and committee meetings, and any other meetings as requested by the Chief Executive Officer
• Organise in-person and virtual trustees meeting as well as other governance meetings as required
• Work with the trustees, Chief Executive Officer, RCVS finance team and legal advisors, ensuring legal returns and RCVS Knowledge governing documents are in order and submitted in good time to Companies House and the Charity Commission
• Maintain declaration of interest documentation and ensure that governance and compliance-related records are up-to-date
• Own the charity’s policy register, ensuring all policies are reviewed regularly and are up to date
• Carry out finance administration for the Senior Team as required, including purchasing items, collating receipts, assigning budget codes, and processing expense claims for trustees
• Provide administrative support around donations and gifts-in-will
• Manage the diary of the Chief Executive Officer, including arranging travel and accommodation when necessary

Project support

• Organise RCVS Knowledge awards (Plowright Prize, Quality Improvement Awards, Antimicrobial Stewardship Awards, etc.), including liaising with award panels, processing applications, and administration around the review and identification of award winners
• Arrange associated meetings and events for the awards

General administration

• Act as the first point of contact for RCVS Knowledge, monitoring generic inboxes and taking phone calls as required
• Manage the administrative functions of the office, for example arranging guest access for visitors when required and administering and dealing with room bookings
• Maintain and develop administrative systems, such as record management and document control
• Update records on our customer relationship management (CRM) system
• Organise and schedule meetings and awaydays, including setting the agenda and taking minutes
• Support the recruitment of new staff, including training and induction
• Provide administrative and project support to the wider RCVS Knowledge team as required

Age UK are recruiting for a Fulfilment Administrator at their Warrington site, to support the Information and Advice line by being point of contact for sending out I&A guides to the public and liaising with other departments within the charity, to assist in campaigns.

As a Fulfilment Administrator, you will provide a high standard of pick and pack services to agreed procedures, and ensure that all data processing, paperwork and record keeping is carried out to the highest standard. Undertaking daily electronic data processing and mail merge procedures using MS applications, along with the completion of administrative tasks, including: filing, stationery tracking and ACIL audit entry.

This post holder will also be responsible for warehouse activities, building security, health and safety and fire safety.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) are a unique UK-wide activity that help businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity by making better use of the knowledge, technology and skills within universities, colleges and research organisations.

THE PROJECT 

The University of Essex in partnership with We are the Minories (WATM), an arts charity and gallery in a historic townhouse in Colchester, offers an exciting opportunity to a graduate with the relevant skills and knowledge to develop a data led and long-term strategic plan, to enhance WATM’s growth.

The associate will work with WATM’s managers and University of Essex academic supervisors to ensure WATM's sustainable and prosperous future while keeping their community ethos and values at the heart of their activities. This will be achieved through four key strategies:

1. Developing innovative solutions to evaluate and measure the social impact of WATM’s activities to enhance its success rates in funding applications.
2. Introducing business model innovations to support WATM in improving its income generation, such as through new product/service development (e.g., consultancy) and exploring additional income-generating activities like leveraging its physical space.
3. Enhancing WATM’s capabilities in managing both social and economic missions and supporting them in sharing their knowledge through consultancy to third-party organisations.
4. Developing marketing, operational, and financial plans to foster the sustainable growth of WATM.

This post is fixed term for 18 months.  

DUTIES OF THE POST

The duties of the post will include: 

• Conduct literature reviews and summarise findings for a non-academic audience.
• Design and develop a framework to measure social output, outcomes, and impacts of WATM's activities.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
• Develop and design data-driven and customer-driven strategies to improve the sustainability and growth of WATM
• Develop strategies for augmenting earned and grant income.
• Formulate and implement robust and well-informed marketing, operational and financial plans based on the collected data and selected strategies.
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge management plan, encompassing strategies for disseminating insights and best practices derived from the project.

• Disseminate findings in scientific articles and conferences.

These duties are a guide to the work that the post holder will initially be required to undertake. They may be changed from time to time to meet changing circumstances.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• A first/undergraduate degree in Management, Business Studies or a related discipline, OR a first/undergraduate degree in a subject related to Arts and Humanities or nonprofit sector with business development experience.

With Single Homeless Project staff co-located in probation offices, you will be working in close partnership with Probation Services, to support people on probation to either sustain their current accommodation or to secure new housing as needed. 

We are seeking people who could deliver housing advice, guidance and support to clients. Working with a caseload in your local designated boroughs, you will produce comprehensive and high-quality assessments on their support needs; particularly their housing, employment and financial needs and follow the most suitable pathway for them. 

We are also looking for people who are interested in working in this sector and with this client group.  We encourage applications from those, who are also at the beginning of their career path - graduates and those with transferrable skills & experience.

About you:

• Some understanding of working in supported housing or floating support services, with a demonstrable knowledge of Housing and other related Legislation or a relevant qualification

• Experience of managing complex and difficult situations in relation to vulnerable client group(s). 

• Ability to effectively liaise with a range of service providers or agencies in order to establish or improve services for clients. 

• An understanding of the principles underlying a quality service, and customer focused, with proven ability to empower service users. 

• Ability to be self-motivating, work under pressure, and manage time effectively, prioritising different areas of work according to need

Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge is seeking to appoint a Development Manager to lead the College’s regular giving and young alumni programmes.  This is an exciting time to be joining Sidney and support the new senior leadership team’s ambitious plans for the future of the College and its students.

Working with the Development Director, the Development Manager will be responsible for all aspects of our regular giving and young alumni programme:

• Lead a sustainable and effective regular giving programme and increase participation across all year groups through campaigns such as Telethons and Giving Days, sourcing and securing match gifts as needed.
• Face to face fundraising and donor engagement of our small to mid-level donors; cultivating and raising gifts between £1,000 - £10,000 from alumni and friends, managing a pipeline of prospects and building relationships with existing and new prospects.
• Continue developing a student and young alumni programme that offers opportunities for networking and mentoring and encouraging fundraising participation among recent graduates.

Creative, impactful and results driven, this is an exciting opportunity for a talented project manager with an exemplary track record in a fundraising, marketing/communications, or sales.  This post will also suit someone who enjoys building relationships and working in a small team, while collaborating across departments, collegiate Cambridge and the University.
